After nearly two decades of taking minor roles on stage and television, Pascal had hisĀ breakout roleĀ asĀ Oberyn MartellĀ in theĀ fourth seasonĀ of theĀ HBO fantasy seriesĀ Game of ThronesĀ (2014). He gained further prominence with his portrayal ofĀ Javier PeƱaĀ in theĀ NetflixĀ crime seriesĀ Narcos (2015ā€“2017).
