After nearly two decades of taking minor roles on stage and television, Pascal had hisĀ breakout roleĀ asĀ Oberyn MartellĀ in theĀ fourth seasonĀ of theĀ HBOĀ fantasy seriesĀ Game of ThronesĀ (2014). He gained further prominence with his portrayal ofĀ Javier PeƱaĀ in theĀ NetflixĀ crime seriesĀ NarcosĀ (2015ā2017). He went on to appear in the filmsĀ The Great WallĀ (2016),Ā Kingsman: The Golden CircleĀ (2017),Ā The Equalizer 2Ā (2018), andĀ Triple FrontierĀ (2019).
